Welcome to the Fine Wines of Surface Creek Winery!
Surface Creek Winery hand crafts its wines from the finest Colorado fruit available. As with any vintage wines, our offerings will vary from year to year, but we are always committed to providing our new and existing customers with an exceptional wine tasting experience.
Our current offerings include:
Trophy Bull Red Non-Oaked Merlot:
Each year we seek out a fruity Merlot that is
representative of the fine fruits flavors found in Colorado.
Then
we ferment and age it in stainless steel, leaving the fruit flavors
unencumbered by oak. We have
reserved our fruity 2006 Merlot for this year's Trophy Bull Red
release. Serve it with pasta, chicken roasted with
garlic, rosemary
& olive oil, as well as red meats.
($16.50 plus shipping & handling)
2006 Colorado Wildflower White (Dry Gewurztraminer): A dry, crisp, Alsatian style white wine with wonderful varietal floral and spice characteristics. Matches beautifully with fish, vegetarian dishes and cheese. ($12.95 plus shipping and handling)
Gunnison Grouse: Our current Gunnison Grouse is a dry, 2008 Riesling. It's Jeanne's favorite white (of the moment) and pairs well with cheeses, chicken and pasta dishes. ($12.95 plus shipping and handling)
Sandhill Crane Blush: Our sweet blush table wine is extremely popular and sells out quickly. Lower in alcohol (about 9%) it is meant to be enjoyed soon after purchase. It's delightful on its own, or paired with ham, pork and chocolate (of course)! ($12.95 plus shipping and handling)
Colorado Cherry Wine:
We are now selling our ever popular Colorado Cherry Wine in
375 ml. splits.
Fermented from tart Montmorency cherries
this lightly sweet fruit wine is very popular with the
long-time
residents of the Surface Creek Valley, who reminisce for the cherry
wine that grandma and grandpa used to make. We encourage you
to
try this fruit wine with stuffed roast pork loin, or paired
with
glazed ham or grilled salmon. ($11.50 plus shipping &
handling) Sold Out, but expect a new release soon)
